The hiking trips following the cairns between villages in Suðuroy are made during the summer period.

There will be hiking trips in the mountains in Suðuroy, if at least 5 persons will participate. The trips will be different places every time. We will follow the old walking path between the villages by following the cairns. The price for this trip is 200 DKK per. adult. How to get to Suðuroy
The ferry Smyril M/S leaves from Tórshavn daily, the time schedule is to find on this website: http://www.ssl.fo/Default.asp?sida=3052. There are two bus lines in Suðuroy, both of them go from the ferry port at Krambatangi after arrival. One of the goes south (line 700), the end station is Sumba, and the other one goes north with end station in Sandvík or Hvalba. It might also say Fámjin, which is a village on the west coast. Ask the driver, if you have doubts.
